A TruFolio innovation

The Financial
Clarity Score.

A 0–100 number that reflects how complete and clear a prospect's financial picture is. Descriptive, not predictive. A starting point for the conversation between a prospect and their licensed financial professional.

0 — 100
Philosophy

A pathway, not a judgment.

TruFolio celebrates prospects who participate. The Financial Clarity Score is not a grade. There is no good or bad outcome — there is only the conversation it makes possible.

The score is a pathway — a starting point that helps the prospect and the agent see clearly where the prospect stands today, so the right conversation can begin.
— TruFolio Product Principle
Participation is the win
A prospect who completes a TruFolio assessment has done something most people never do: looked at their full financial picture honestly. That is valuable regardless of what the score turns out to be.
No good or bad outcome
A high score and a low score both tell the prospect and the agent something useful. Neither is a verdict. Both are starting points.
Built for the conversation
The Financial Clarity Score exists so the agent can have a more specific, more relevant first conversation. It is the bridge from "I don't know where I stand" to "let's talk about what you've shared."
Technical Composition

How the score is calculated.

The Financial Clarity Score is a composite measure of two distinct things, blended into a single 0–100 number that updates in real time as the prospect completes each step.

01 — Completeness
How much of the picture they have shared.
Each step the prospect completes contributes to the completeness portion of the score. The more sections they fill in, the more complete their picture becomes.
  • Income sources
  • Monthly expenses
  • Debt obligations
  • Mortgage and home equity
  • Retirement contributions and balances
02 — Position strength
What the shared data indicates.
Once the prospect has shared their numbers, the score reflects what those numbers say about their current financial position — described, not judged.
  • Debt-to-income ratio
  • Discretionary income
  • Retirement contribution rates
  • Debt structure and pressure points
UPDATES IN REAL TIME
As the prospect completes each step, the Financial Clarity Score updates instantly. They watch their picture become clearer in front of them — and have a tangible signal of progress through the assessment.
What the Score Tells You

Reading the number.

A higher score and a lower score each indicate something — but neither is a verdict. Both surface a useful starting point for the agent's conversation.

Higher score
More complete picture AND stronger underlying position. The prospect has shared most or all of the relevant information, and that information indicates relatively healthy financial structure. The conversation focuses on optimization and acceleration.
Lower score
Either incomplete assessment, or pressure points worth a conversation. Lower scores are not failures — they signal that there is more to talk about. Maybe the prospect did not finish the assessment. Maybe their numbers reveal real strain. Either way, an opening for a meaningful first conversation.
Either way
The prospect has done something valuable by participating. They now have a clearer picture of where they stand. The agent has a more specific starting point. That is the win, regardless of the number.
Product Boundaries

What the Financial Clarity Score is not.

TruFolio is a clarity platform, not a regulated financial product. The Financial Clarity Score is bounded by hard product principles — not as marketing language, but as compliance commitments to prospects, agents, and regulators.

Not a credit score. No connection to FCRA-covered consumer credit data.
Not a predictive financial outcome. No "you will be debt-free by [date]" claims. No promised outcomes.
Not a recommendation. The score does not advise a course of action.
Not investment advice. Nothing in the score speaks to securities or investment selection.
Not financial advice. The score describes the picture; it does not advise on the next step.
Not a regulated financial product. The Financial Clarity Score is a descriptive metric, not a financial instrument.
The compliance shield
The Financial Clarity Score is descriptive, not predictive.
